Mrs. Mezivolu T. Therieh

Born on 11.12.1970 in Kohima,Mrs. Mezivolu T. Therieh completed her 10th from Little Flower School, Kohima and 12th (then pre-university)from Patkai Christian College, Dimapur (Present Chumukedima). She graduated with B.A (Hons) History from St. Mary’s College, Shillong Meghalaya and Masters in History from the University of Delhi, New Delhi. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi and Masters in Law (LLM) from Global Open University, Dimapur. She enrolled herself as an advocate under Bar council of Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh & Sikkim on 19.12.1998. She made her entry into Government Service as JMFC (on contract) in 2003 following which she cleared the Judicial Service Examination and was appointed in Grade 3 as Judicial Magistrate First Class on 20.07.2005. She was promoted to Grade 2 as Chief Judicial Magistrate on 26.03.2013. Further, she has been promoted to Grade 1 as District & Sessions Judge on 19.01.2018.
Work Experience:

(i) Practiced as Advocate in Guwahati & Kohima before entering judicial service.
(ii) Served as Judicial Magistrate First Class/CivilJudge Jr Division in Peren, Kohima and Dimapur.
(iii) Served as Chief Judicial Magistrate/Civil Judge Sr Division in Kohima, Dimapur and Kiphire.
(iv) Held additional charges of Central Project Coordinator(CPC), Nagaland and Secretary, DLSAs of Kohima, Dimapur and Kiphire.
(v) Served as Member Secretary, Nagaland State Legal Services Authority.
(vi) Served as District & Sessions Judge of Phek& Chairperson of Phek DLSA.
(vii) Served as OSD Registrar, Supreme Court of India, New Delhi.
(viii) Presently serving as Principal Judge, Family Court Kohima.
